Emergent BioSolutions

• We advise. We design. We construct. We were hired by Emergent BioSolutions as the Turnkey Design Led/Design Build partner for several projects including the renovation of a temperature-controlled storage/loading dock space, maintenance shop, machine shop, administrative space and autoclave/corresponding area.

• The cold storage portion of this project housed three stability chambers, two media incubators, a three to four rack high refrigerator that is able to fit a forklift, freezer, waste dock and a shipping dock.

• During construction, particle containment was practiced ensuring a clean environment in Emergent’s manufacturing and warehouse areas. This included building containment walls, HEPA filtration, and sticky mats.

• The autoclave project was split into two construction phases. Phase 1 consisted of a new egress corridor and equipment wash area and Phase 2 consisted of removing the existing egress corridor and the addition of the new autoclave.

• In addition to MEP design, we managed the architect, structural, contractors and commissioning agents from inception to turnover of the building.
